It has been a busy past couple of months.
Vanessa's recital was the first weekend of June. She was Mary Poppins in "Jolly Holiday" and a Beach Baby in "Beach Baby" both dances were very cute. During the finale "Let's go fly a kite", Miss V decided she needed a kite like some of the other kids, so she went up to one of the props and took one out for herself, in the picture the little girl in the white and red dress taking the yellow kite is Vanessa!
My Dad is back from a year in the Phillipenes. He is staying with us for now. Vanessa loves having Grandpa Tom here.
Some old friends of our, Holly (Bob) and Doug, who now live in North Carolina were home for the July 4th weekend. We were so glad to have a chance to see them for a little while.
The St. Christopher's Festival is this weekend. This was Polka Boy's 5th year at the festival. Brian took Nessa to ride the rides while I made my way to our traditional spot with our friends. Nessa told Brian she wanted to go watch the music with mommy and Chrissy instead of riding rides. However, by the end of the evening none of the ride tickets went unused and during a break in the music we all went to ride in the strawberry. Very fun!
We knew she would either love this ride, or it would be an early night and we would be heading home. She loved it! Very fast.
Nessa was screaming because she thought you are supposed to. So funny!
